The American Discovery Trail "Southern Route" passes through North Bend and Harrison's Tomb.
The beginning (or end) of the trail on the east coast is at Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of Delaware Bay and heads west.
After crossing the Ohio River on the Anderson Ferry and then crossing the railroad tracks and US 50 to Hillside Ave. the trail follows Hillside Ave. to Addyston. At Addyston use the sidewalk along River Rd. (US 50) to Harrison's Tomb in North Bend. The trail then follows Cliff Road high above the Ohio River to Dugan's Gap Rd., Lawrenceburg Rd, and Lost Bridge to Elizabethtown. The ADT divides at Elizabethtown into northern and southern routes across the Midwest. The northen route proceeds to Richmond, Indiana and beyond. The southern route follows Stephens Rd. over I-275 to State Line Rd, US 50 and Oberding Rd. to Greendale and Lawrenceburg, Indiana and continues on across the country to Denver, Colorado where the northern and southern segments rejoin and continue on to the Pacific Ocean.
