The Village of North Bend invites residents and visitors to a special Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at North Bend Presidential Community Park. Mayor Doug Sammons will lead the reading as part of the community's America 250 celebration, honoring the nation's history and founding principles. Attendees can enjoy treats and giveaways while joining neighbors in this patriotic community event.

For 2026, the Birthday Tribute ceremony to President William Henry Harrison will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026 beginning at the Village of North Bend Council Hall at 10:30am for donuts and orange juice. Everyone will then walk to WHH tomb site for the Wreath Laying Ceremony with a Brigadier General.
