The Village of North Bend and Mayor Doug Sammons have been recognized by the Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission for their outstanding leadership and commitment to community development.
The Village received the Frank F. Ferris II Community Planning Award for the William Henry Harrison Riverfront Park Masterplan, recognizing years of progress in transforming the riverfront through thoughtful planning and phased development. Mayor Doug Sammons was also honored with the Melvin D. Martin Leadership in Planning Award for his dedication to advancing community projects, fostering partnerships, and enhancing recreation, tourism, and economic growth since taking office in 2012.
Both awards, presented on June 23, 2026, celebrate North Bend's continued investment in building a vibrant future for residents and visitors alike.
